About Me

Me

Hi everyone, and welcome to The Other Home Gym. Don’t always have the time to go to the gym and workout, well look no further.  I designed this blog for people like me who don’t always have time during their busy day to go to the gym, but still want to workout and be active. There are many workout that you can do from the comfort of your home that work you body in the same about of time, if not less than going to the gym and spending hours on a treadmill, stationary bike or elliptical. In this blog you can expect to see information about the right workouts to do for each part of your body, as well as ones for full-body workouts. I will show you beginner and advanced workouts, basic equipment to invest in and why it is important to remain active. Each week I will be posting new workouts and a tip or goal for that week that I encourage you to try.

Now some of you may be thinking, “what does she know about working out?”

Let me start out by introducing myself. My name is Shannon; I am 20 years old and a junior at Kent State University in Ohio. When I was 5 my parents signed me up for my town’s soccer league and I have been playing ever since. I have also played softball and basketball, participated in gymnastics and ice skating, and ran track. I started running track in the 7th grade and haven’t stopped running since. When I started college I realized my days got busier and busier and I wasn’t working out as much as I wanted. This is when I started researching ways to workout at home, in less time, but still receive a great workout.
